To state the obvious, I love to draw. And have been drawing ever since I could consciously
hold a pencil. Telling stories has always been a favourite habit. Over the years, I also found it to be a handy tool to explore this beautiful mess.

Having happily survived the initial bits of being an artist, I started illustrating and making picture books since 2019. Prior to that I was an art teacher in a Hogwarts like setup.
The school was old, placed in a forest, on the hills, hidden in clouds, next to a lake.
I was Hagrid.

Illustrated a few books before I got down to writing one on my own.
My debut picture book Farah Loves Mangos heart fully published by Flying Eye Books made it to the Guardian’s list of best picture books from 2023 and has been translated into 6 different languages in it’s first year.

I am cooped up in my tiny studio in Chartreuse or Ladakh mostly and continue making books. Witnessing seasons change is a most favourite passtime. Thoroughly enjoying painting, cycling, and chasing shooting stars on the mountain.

Love to make toys out of leaves, twigs and found objects.
